Living in the same zipcode as Clayton Katz‘ listing at 11 Crestwood Drive, we’ve regularly passed by this stunning traditional French mansion on our evening walks and longed to get a peek inside. Recently, 200 guests did just that when the Compass real estate agent hosted an open house that was a true house party.
Katz brought in a jazz combo and singer performing American Classics. He tapped Dine Catering & Events to provide party foods. He had wait staff popping the corks on Veuve Cliquot and selected wines. And he stationed two white Rolls-Royce convertibles in the drive to set the opulent mood of the night.
Mother Nature cooperated delivering the perfect weather for touring the 11,745 square foot manse and the acre of tree-shrouded grounds on which it is nestled. It was difficult to say what impressed them most — the swimming pool view to the bayou, the magnificent antique light fixtures, the grand master suite or any of the other remarkable elements of the beautiful home.
Thomas O’neill Homes built the dwelling which boasts six bedrooms, seven full and three half baths, traditional and separate catering kitchens, wine room, theatre, gym, library, optional quarters, and a four-car attached garage. And with its enviable, elevated location overlooking Buffalo Bayou, the home has never flooded.
