Worthy Cocktails and the Bars to Enjoy Them In

BY // 07.24.19

National Tequila Day is today (Wednesday, July 24). As Dallasites, we’re pretty knowledgable about our favorite places to grab a margarita. We also had National Margarita Day in February as an excuse to splurge and sip on favorite frozen and on-the-rocks cocktails.

But another national holiday is upon us and it’s time to choose how to celebrate. And tequila has so many more opportunities for creative drink options. Here are seven of the best ways, whether you’re picking up something from your local liquor store or going to hang at the bar for a while, to celebrate this wonderful food holiday.

Tequila Flights at Asador

For those who like their tequila straight, this Renaissance Dallas Hotel restaurant is serving special tequila flights for National Tequila Day.

For $15, you can order Flight #1. This includes Republic Tequila Plata, Republic Reposado Tequila. Flight #2 costs $20 and includes Tequila Casa Dragones Blanco, Tequila Fortaleza Reposad and Tequila Ocho. And for $25, Flight #3 has Asombroso Tequila El Platino Blanco, Asombroso Tequila La Rosa Reposado and Asombroso Tequila Gran Reserva.

Jalapeno Pineapple Margarita from On The Rocks

A tequila drink worth the trip to your local liquor store is a pre-made Jalapeno Pineapple Margarita from local Dallas company, On The Rocks. A great drink to enjoy in the comfort of your own home, this is a margarita with a kick.

The cocktail is made with Tres Generaciones tequila. It uses a combination of pineapple, triple sec, plata tequila, and heat from the jalapeno. All ingredients are all natural and include zero preservatives. Just pour it over ice and it tastes just like a freshly made margarita on the rocks.
