Dallas has been exploding with new restaurants opening just in time for summer, so we narrowed down a list of the absolute best to make it a little bit easier to choose where to go next. From experiential venues and health food to micro coffee shops and barbecue, there are tons of options.

Here are Dallas’ Hottest Restaurants for July:

Punch Bowl Social

2600 Main Street

Just opened in Deep Ellum, this Denver-based experiential lifestyle brand has bowling, games, and great food and drinks. The 24,000 square foot space has three bars, lounges and a main dining area.

The menu includes everything from classics like burgers, tacos and chicken ‘n waffles to unique shareables such as umami bomb chips and dip and a charcuterie board with confit duck leg, prosciutto, potted pork, feta, pickles, olives, strawberry jam and baguette. The Knockoff Burger with two beef patties, American cheese, Comeback sauce, pickled onion and lettuce is a favorite.

Crafty cocktails and punch bowls are stand-outs on the drink menu. The Connoisseur’s Cup (which can serve up to eight people) has Sipsmith Gin, Teakoe’s Kodiak Mountain Mint Tea, house-made lavender syrup, Dolin Blanc, and lemon juice.

Fauna

2330 Flora Street

Chef Stephan Pyles latest project, Fauna has opened inside of Flora Street Cafe. The private tasting room, which can hold about 16 guests, features a 12-course menu paired with wine.

Chef Diego Fernandez is in charge of the kitchen. Cuisine is inspired by Fernandez’s upbringing in Mexico and Pyle’s Texas connection. Dishes include sea urchin custard with morels, English peas, purple hull beans and favas, as well as the Caesar with egg jam, chicken and finger lime. AKA fancy food.

There is also snail, tuna, Wagyu and TX Fare, which uses beef cheek for a new twist on the Frito pie. Fauna is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 6:30 pm to 9 pm. The 12-course menu costs $150 per a guest and reservations are available for parties up to four.

House coffee is available, as well as cortados, cappuccinos, lattes and cold brew. For non-coffee drinkers, they have flavored Topo Chicos and matcha. Pastries like pineapple and lemon empanadas taste wonderful with a coffee, as well as other snacks from Adeliah Cakes.

This new sushi spot just popped up at The Union in Uptown. Originating in Frisco, this is the second Dallas area location of Kotta. The menu includes tons of sushi and Japanese entrees, as well as a full bar.

The sushi menu is vast with tons of sushi rolls and sashimi. Rolls range from Alaskan and Caterpillar to Rainbow and Spicy Tuna.  There are also several special rolls like Alligator and August Moon, which is Yellowtail with crabmeat, asparagus, tempura sweet potato and organic spring mix wrapped in rice paper. Another new sushi spot and hibachi restaurant, Tata Asian Cuisine is new to Uptown. It’s actually in the former Gui Japanese bistro and bar location.

Bento boxes, sushi and hibachi lunch specials fill the menu. There’s Teriyaki chicken, beef, and tempura shrimp for the boxes. Hibachi meals, with your choice of chicken, steak, salmon, or shrimp, come with soup or salad, grilled veggies, and steamed rice. You can also try the curry rice, Don (rice bowls), or ramen.

750 Richland Boulevard, Prosper

If you’re feeling like a road trip up north, Prosper has a new Chinese-American restaurant that’s gaining some clout. Chef Bob Tam has concocted up some recipes featuring traditional Chinese dishes with an American twist.

Featured dishes include the “Dragon Dumpling” Burger with a marinated beef & pork patty, Swiss American, caramelized onions, and kewpie mayo on a toasted English muffin with dumpling sauce. The dish comes with umami fries and Chinese 1000 island. The Smoked Brisket Fried Rice is a mix of Tex Mex rice, corn, egg, scallion, pickled red onion, Stubb’s bbq sauce, wasabi coleslaw, and mac & cheese sauce.

Heim Barbecue (Heim on the River)

5333 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth

Husband and wife Travis and Emma Heim opened the first location of Heim BBQ on Magnolia in 2016. Due to increasing popularity and constant lines out the door, they’ve recently opened up a second Heims in the River District, with lots more space and outdoor patio seating.

The thing to get here is the Heimburger with two beef patties blended with smoked brisket, American cheese, BBE jam and house sauce. Pair with sides of green chile mac & cheese and potato salad and you’ve got the perfect meal. The bacon burnt ends are also a must-try, and don’t forget banana pudding for dessert.

Gemelle

4400 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth

Fort Worth Chef and reality TV star Tim Love opened a new Italian restaurant which includes an outdoor space with bocce courts and cabanas. Named after Love’s twin daughters, “Gemelle” means twin girls in Italian. The new joint has pizza, pasta and sandwiches.

Located along Trinity Trails, the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
