Famous Italian Market Chooses Dallas’ Luxury Shopping Mecca for its First Ever Texas Location
Why the Marriage of Eataly and Northpark is a Major Food Win
By Megan Ziots //
Italian food lovers, rejoice!
Eataly, the Italian marketplace with restaurants, cafes, fresh counters and to-go eateries is coming to NorthPark Center in 2020. Dallas will become Eataly’s eighth North American location and absolute first in Texas.
Formerly linked with celebrity chef Mario Batali’s empire, until he got accused as a sexual abuser in the #MeToo movement, the Italian company now has 39 stores worldwide, seemingly having moved past the debacle.
The market offers everything from wines and beers to fruits and vegetables to pastas and breads. It’s truly a foodie’s dream.
The new spot will go in between Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom. It will also have an interior escalator with more places to eat on the second floor.
“We are so ecstatic to have signed the lease with NorthPark Center, which will allow us to bring the ultimate authentic Italian experience to Dallas,” says Nicola Farinetti, CEO of Eataly North America.
“At Eataly, we aim to foster an environment where customers can eat, shop, and learn about high-quality Italian food and culture. We believe NorthPark Center is the perfect Dallas location for us because they are also dedicated to quality and an unparalleled customer experience, what we, as a brand, value above all.”
Along with providing authentic Italian products, Eataly Dallas will also partner with Texan producers for some products unique to this Northpark location.
