Dallas Gets a New Kind of Corner Store — Hip Chicago Import Promises Delivery in Under an Hour
Coffee, Wine, Beer and Co-Working Space Make Foxtrot a Millennial Playland

As I was walking to brunch at The Standard Pour on Sunday, I noticed a new spot with bold signage at 2822 McKinney Avenue. It read “Foxtrot” and advertised for coffee, grab-and-go goods, wine and beer. It was labeled as a corner market. I hadn’t heard of Foxtrot before so I looked it up.
Foxtrot is a Chicago corner market with delivery service, coming to Dallas in late June. It launched in Chicago in 2013 as a spot for quick cafe fare and a co-working space. The Uptown location will offer 3,6000 square feet of space with a large delivery radius including Lower Greenville, Knox-Henderson, Downtown, Lakewood and Park Cities.
The menu is touted as a “one-stop shop for local favorites and today’s most exciting brands, all delivered from our store to your door in under an hour.”
Categories include wine, beer, cider, & seltzer, spirits, chef prepared meals, snacks & sweets, ice cream, groceries & pantry, coffee, juice & kombucha, more drinks, lifestyle & gifting, household essentials and tobacco. Foxtrots come complete with a coffee shop, a cafe, free Wi-Fi, beer on tap and wines by glass.
This will be the first Foxtrot location outside of Chicago, but I’m sure it’ll be a hit for millennials with food and booze delivery. You also have the option of sending gifts to friends or family with a personalized note. From bottles of wine to chocolate lover gift boxes, you can take care of a last minute birthday gift or get well soon package in a flash. Foxtrot promises delivery in 60 minutes or less.
At least for Chicago, the minimum amount for delivery is $20. A lot of the current products are “Made In Chicago” so it’ll be interesting to see what Dallas products make the cut for this new Uptown Foxtrot.
One Dallas partnership that’s already been announced is Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters, which will provide all the coffee at Foxtrot’s Dallas locations (at least two more Foxtrots are scheduled to open before the end of 2019 in other not-yet-revealed neighborhoods).
