New 24-Hour Cupcake Mecca Emerges in Texas
The Whole World’s Moving to Plano
By Samantha Klaassen //
When the first Sprinkles Cupcake ATM debuted in The Plaza at Preston Center in 2013, we raced to queue for a sweet treat, automatically — and freshly — dispensed from the cute pink machine outside the bakery.
At the end of this month, Sprinkles opens its second Dallas location in Plano at Legacy West. Like its Plaza sibling, the store has a 24-hour Cupcake ATM for sugary confections on demand, whenever your sweet tooth strikes.
Made fresh every day, Sprinkles cupcakes come in 50 flavors, including banana, black and white, dark chocolate, and the iconic red velvet. Additionally, the new location will also offer Sprinkles cookies (i.e. chocolate chip, oatmeal, and peanut butter) and ice cream (along with waffle cones, cupcake crumbs, homemade sauces, and toppings), as well as dairy-free sorbets, shakes, malts, and root beer floats.
Can’t decide between all these decadent sweets? Try a combo: a cupcake sundae, a red velvet waffle cone, a cupcake shake, or an ice cream cupcake sandwich.
To celebrate the opening, Sprinkles will have a special off-menu cupcake the first weekend in June — chocolate cake with caramel frosting, topped with a custom sugar decoration.
Sprinkles Cupcakes, 7500 Windrose Ave., 469.969.0171.
