An Eight-Course Tasting Menu for Only $24?
Dallas Poke Hotspot Offers a Major Restaurant Bargain
By Natalie Gempel //
Dallas, we know y’all love poke, and this week you’re in serious luck. Pōk the Raw Bar in West Village is re-launching its popular five-seat raw bar on Tuesday, January 30, with a 30-minute, eight-course omakase tasting for $24. Here’s the best part: To celebrate the new menu addition, and the restaurant’s one-year anniversary, Pōk the Raw Bar is offering free lunch at the bar from January 30 to February 3 (as long as you make a reservation through OpenTable).
The tasting, Pōk Trust Me includes six pieces of nigiri and two handrolls. The meal is served in under half an hour, making it perfect for a quick lunch or dinner.
“Most people don’t have the luxury of spending two hours and $200 on a Wednesday night sushi dinner,” Brandon Cohanim, founder of Pōk the Raw Bar, said in a statement. “I want to make the high-end, high-quality sushi experience quick and accessible for everyone in Dallas.”
The budget and schedule-friendly tasting is fitting addition to the casual quick-serve concept.
Act fast if you want to score a free sushi lunch this week; with only five seats at the raw bar, reservations are expected to fill up quickly.
