Starbucks Delivery Hits Texas, Becomes a Dallas and Houston Way of Life
Your Coffee Obsession is Suddenly Even Easier
By Megan Ziots //
Finally, the news all coffee fanatics have been waiting for. Starbucks has started offering delivery in Dallas and Houston. Through the Uber Eats app, you can order anything on the Starbucks menu and have it brought to you. So start having all of the lattes, Frappuccinos and pumpkin bread slices you want brought directly to your door.
Things to know:
-The delivery fee starts at $0.49.
-It’s better for bigger orders because if your total is below $10, you’ll be charged a $2 small order fee.
-There’s also a 15 percent service fee.
It is up to you to decide if the convenience of having your coffee driven over to you and placed in your hand is worth the cost. Many would say yes. I’d probably say yes on some days.
The Uber Eats menu offers everything from Starbucks’ usual hot and iced coffees and teas to breakfast sandwiches, bakery items and lunch paninis. You can also order whole bean bags of their classic blends, espresso roasts and more unique, worldly blends. Verismo pods and instant packs are also available.
Unfortunately, these purchases don’t count towards the Starbucks Rewards Program. You can’t pay with your Starbucks card or app. This is a bummer, because at Starbucks, it’s all about the stars.
