Where to Eat in Dallas Right Now: The 5 Hottest Restaurants for June

BY // 06.13.18

Editor’s note: Dallas’ restaurant scene is more active than ever, and, even for the most avid foodies, it can be hard to keep up. We rounded up the latest and greatest in food happenings to determine the new restaurants you absolutely need to check out this month.

These are your must-visits for June.

Perle on Maple

The Stoneleigh is giving locals a reason to stop by with its pretty new French restaurant Perle on Maple. Led by Chef Wade Burch the kitchen serves an array of casual French fare, from Colorado lamb with ratatouille and polenta, to bacon-wrapped local quail, to Duroc pork belly. The cocktails are another reason to pay Perle on Maple a visit – order the Lickety Spritz with gin, prosecco, Aperol, lemon and rose simple syrup.

Snooze

Don’t sleep on this hot new brunch spot in Addison. The Colorado-based breakfast chain has a cult following across the country, and Dallasites are already jumping on the bandwagon since Snooze opened its first North Texas location. Expect decadent comfort food, killer pancakes and a wide array of brunch cocktails.

Laurel Tavern

This new bar and restaurant is bringing a taste of California cool to Lower Greenville. Laurel Tavern serves approachable, scratch-made dishes and craft cocktails with a focus on seasonal ingredients. Laurel Tavern has a relaxed and rustic vibe, complete with reclaimed wood accents and a summer-ready patio.

Macellaio

The hottest new spot in town comes from the owners of Lucia; David and Jennifer Uygur’s new eatery, Macellaio, is just steps away from its beloved sister restaurant. The menu is influenced by Spanish and Italian cuisine, with an emphasis on cured meats.

Luckily, Macellaio is a little roomier than Lucia, so getting a table won’t be such a struggle. It’s already booked up for most of June, but the restaurant keeps 16 spots open for walk-ins.

Tapas Castile

We were heartbroken when Casa Rubia, Trinity Groves’ popular Spanish spot, closed last July. Now, the tapas void in the neighborhood has finally been filled with the opening of Tapas Castile. Head to the Spanish restaurant with friends and order a spread of small plates to share.
