What: Fête for New Orleans-based artist Ashley Longshore‘s art show and collaboration with Biscuit Home.
Where: Biscuit Home on Westheimer.
Who: Biscuit owner Bailey McCarthy and hubby Pete; Ashley Longshore Art Gallery’s Kate Grace Bauer and Brittany Rampick; A Fare Extraordinaire’s Rachel Volz; Biscuit design assistant Valerie McFarland; interior designer/collector Meg Lonergan with friends/clients Megan Davis and Lacey Goossen; artful admirers Kristina Wilson, Carrie Colbert, Leslie Pitts, Kate Dempsey Stouffer and Tara McDonnell.
PC Moment: “May all your pain be champagne” read the colorful cocktail napkins accompanying glasses of bubbly at the festive evening that celebrated the capsule collection between the princess of Pop Art and the cheeky home-goods store. A Fare Extraodinaire planned the party, including a boxwood bar adorned with butterflies, and concocted vivid epicurean creations (paint-splattered truffles). Ashley enthusiasts scooped up the ALxBH champagne buckets, cocktail glasses and trays and acquired gorgeous, large-scale new Ashley Longshore pieces — it was her first Houston show in five years.
