PC Moment: Entrepreneur Nick Florescu and Kubis Interactive hosted the evening introducing the Urbane Society app, Florescu’s clever young professional members-only app that opens the doors to fine dining with special perks such as discounted rates in Houston’s top restaurants, member parties and the like. B&B owner Ben Berg pulled out the stops for the sold-out evening that saw 250 young professionals gather on the second floor party room and terrace.
The social hour included open bar and B&B’s famed appetizers including mini Beef Wellingtons, crab cakes and Chef Tommy’s bacon. DJ Johnny Mac spun the tunes on the patio where the Thursday night clutch danced into the night.
As Florescu explained to the eager millennials, the Urbane Society is aimed at professionals aged 21 to 34, offering them discounts at restaurants, the stable of which is set to include B&B Butchers, Le Colonial, the Grove and more. The app will launch in May and can be downloaded from Apple or Google Play. The app will be integrated with Open Table, which will allow members to make reservations, qualify for their discounts and pay the dinner bill with the touch of a finger.
