Houston’s Ultimate Party Power Couple Plan a Mysterious Art Bash
BY Catherine D. Anspon // 03.25.17What do you get when Texas’ ultimate party planner, Todd Fiscus, steps up to co-chair the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston Gala with his husband, hairdresser to the swans Ceron? The duo is tight-lipped about design details, but suffice to say it will be egg-inspired and egg-straordinary, a nod to the theme “What Came First? Great Artists or Great Patrons?”
PaperCity will be there as media sponsor when Fiscus and Ceron are joined by it-couple Kathryn and Colby Swain as co-chairs for the elegant albeit deconstructed night — Friday, April 7, at the CAMH.
Silent and live auctions will be hammered down by Christie’s Steve Zick (acquire a work from Mark Flood or upcoming museum headliner Paul Ramirez Jonas), and Jackson and Company creates the seated dinner. The vibe continues late night with an after-party, where DJ Souljah mans the turntable.
Tickets from $1,000, tables from $10,000; after-party $150 individual, $250 couple; Beth Peré, gala@camh.org. Advance bid on important art lots, camh.org.
