What: Citizens for Animal Protection‘s Celebrity Paws Gala kickoff

Where: Tootsies

PC Moment: The expected high-style energy of the popular retailer was ratcheted up several notches with this launch thanks to the verve contributed by Texas It Girl Meredith Flores (with more than 14.5K Instagram followers), famed chef Ronnie Killen  and K9s4COPS founder Kristi Schiller as three of the contender/honorees and by event chairs mayoral candidate Tony Buzbee and his steady squeeze, another Texas It Girl, Frances Moody.

Also taking bows as Top Ten Elite honorees with their pets were Callie and Koby Clemens (representing Debbie and Roger Clemens), Katie Gibson, Samantha and Raz Halili, Kelley Louis (with Killen), Edna Meyer-Nelson, Jennifer and Chad Pinkerton, Kristina Somerville, Beth Wolff, and Junior Honorees Reagan, Rilley and Delaney Bond.

Honorary chairs Julie and Brook Brookshire made the scene in advance of the November 16 gala, where Gloria and Frank Meszaros, owners of West Houston Subaru, are again donating outright a 2019 Subaru Forester for raffle. Honorary chairs Julie and Brook Brookshire were updating everyone on the latest CAP and news of the nonprofit’s 33rd annual Celebrity Paws Gala gala, “A Royal Affair.”

PC Scene: CAP executive director Sandi Mercado, Bruce Padilla and Shelby Kibodeaux, Patricia and Sig Cornelius, Carol and Bill Simmons, Andy Cordes, Hallie Vanderhider, Sonia Soto, Donna and Norman Lewis, Dana Kervin, Cindy Childress and Jack Charles, Gaylon Gullquist, CAP executive director emeritus Kappy Muenzer, and Fady Armanious and Bill Baldwin.
