What: Dior Grand Opening Party.

Where: Dior in the recently unveiled River Oaks District.

Who: Christian Dior’s president Pamela Baxter and COO Karen Watkins, both in from New York, and store manager Christopher Venegas; Bag Snob Tina Craig, in from Dallas, Alex and Astley Blair, Karen Payne, Mark Sullivan, Diane Lokey Farb, Heart of Fashion’s Vivian Wise with Sergio Morales, and style bloggers Beth Muecke, Monica Abney, Fifi Phi, Issa Chou, and Brittney Carroll.

PC Moment: The beautiful ones turned out in droves for the debut of the beloved high fashion and haute couture brand in Houston. A Fare Extraordinaire served up a decadent menu of petite caviar blinis, foie gras and mini eclairs paired with Moet and Chandon champagne, as revelers excitedly shopped the myriad options of Tribale earrings and Diorissimo bags. Everyone was obsessing over the stunning new space, which is straight out of a Parisian dream — swathed in chic grays and silver and filled with specially commissioned contemporary art by Rob Wynne, Philippe Montels, Laurent Chauvat, and Franck Evennou. A lucky few,Tina Craig, Ceron and Todd Fiscus included, got to spend some quality time in the secret second-floor salon for VIPs.
