Donae Cangelosi Chramosta, aka The Vintage Contessa, is one determined high-style woman just as Rania Mankarious, stylish in her own right, is determined in her role as head of Crime Stoppers. Put these two together and put Chramosta on the Crime Stoppers board and you have an unstoppable duo.
So it was that when time came for her birthday celebration, Chramosta worked her magic to host a birthday party at Tootsies that was both glam and focused on change. The evening was dubbed “A Shopping Event With Real Conversations Changing Our World.”
As Chramosta noted at a similar gathering in the fall,“We are women of fashion but we are all willing to fight for something that we believe in. We can all make a difference.”
Ladies and gents took over the house of high fashion, soaking up The Vintage Contessa’s collection of vintage Chanel, Hèrmes and Louis Vuitton. Think jewelry, scarves and leather goods. Ten percent of all sales from the unique trunk show went to Crime Stoppers.
The party atmosphere soon morphed into pensive with the on-the-spot broadcast of Styling Social Justice, the duo’s podcast geared to informing and inspiring the general public on issues of social injustice, safety, health and more. Joining Chramosta and Mankarious in a discussion of personal style, travel and LGBTQ rights was guest Fady Armanious, Tootsies’ creative director.
