Crystal Charity Ball // Holiday of Love with Ylang 23 // 12 Days of Christmas with the Arboretum
By Jane Rozelle //
It was a sparkling soirée at this year’s Crystal Charity Ball, which raised more than $5.2 million for seven children’s charities in Dallas. Over 1,600 patrons draped in their finest jewels and fancy furs packed the Hilton Anatole for a dazzling “Jewels of the Garden”-themed affair — a theme selected by 2014 chairman Robyn Conlon. Also shining brightly that week was Ylang 23, which proved to be party central as owners Charles and Joanne Teichman invited loyal customers, family and friends to their Holiday of Love event, where a portion of sales went towards the North Texas Food Bank. Those who weren’t sitting on Santa’s lap or scoping out precious stones ventured to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden to share a holiday toast with friends and get a first look at the stunning new “12 Days of Christmas” on display. The $2 million exhibit consisted of 25-foot Victorian gazebos festooned with costumed characters, pine trees and ornaments — all pertaining to the cherished Christmas carol.
