Oh so beautiful was the bling that De Beers Diamond Jewellers brought to the luncheon fête in The Post Oak Hotel‘s oh-so-lovely Bloom & Bee restaurant! More than a dozen young ladies, who just might be in the market for engagement rings and other sparkling trinkets, were invited to peruse a special selection of diamond jewelry fresh from the vaults.
PaperCity and De Beers partnered on the gathering that saw femmes trying on engagement rings; getting the scoop on cut, color, clarity and carat; and dreaming of diamond ownership.
In from New York to join PaperCity group publisher Monica Bickers in hosting the gathering was Pooja Johari, De Beers’ marketing and communications manager USA. They along with Galleria store director Rene Chapman-Wood made sure that the champagne glasses stayed full and that the diamonds were seen by all. In fact, the table, set with pastel-hued roses, was also dressed in beautiful pieces from the De Beers Diamond Jewellers collection.
The chic clutch was introduced to De Beers’ Talisman collection along with rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings from the Enchanted Lotus, Adonis, and Aura collections. A surprise to many of the guests was the My First De Beers collection of diamond jewelry with pieces priced from a mere $900 to $2,600.
Of special interest was the Infinity Heart ring, the design created for Chinese celebrity bride Liu Shishi, often described as the Kim Kardashian of China. The central diamond is supported by an intricate interweaving path of pavé diamonds that forms a heart on both sides. While the Chinese film star’s ring features a five-carat diamond, De Beers has designed the ring centered with a one-carat and a three-carat round brilliant solitaire.
Bedazzled: Meagan Meeks, Pilar Starnes, Carroll Cartwright, Gillian Sarofim, Paige Ebanks, Lily Morris, Ellie Bergman, Maddie Britt, Amanda Wickman, Alexa Leach, Mary Ann Cuellar, and Molly McMurtry.
