What: DeAndre Hopkins‘ inaugural #HOPSZN event
Where: Extreme Offroad & Performance
PC Moment: With this bash for 500, Houston Texans all-pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins joined the ever-growing team of celebs creating signature weekends, i.e. Drake’s HAW Weekend, Bun B Weekend and James Harden’s JH-Town Weekend. CommonPolished‘s Kara Smith was behind the wheel of the VIP night which was held at the swank car shop in Katy where every vehicle imaginable can be transformed into your dream monster.
As it turned out, this was a monster night, drawing 200 more guests than expected. But this was a space that could handle it. As expected, with a start time of 11 pm (with the Texans having just finished a preseason game with the Detroit Lions earlier in the night at NRG Stadium), this baby rocked until 4 a.m.
MC Hollywood served as hipster master of ceremonies to the rocking party that included performances by KenTheMan and Slim Thug, plus aerialists from J&D Entertainment, racy burlesque dancers from Alexandra Charles and the spins of DJ Q Holic. Chef Andre Nieves prepared the eats while Houston’s own Highway Vodka (the one infused with hemp seeds) and Lone Star beer fueled the action.

Plenty of Houston Texans turning out for their teammate included quarterback Deshaun Watson, Jamal Davis, Carlos Watkins, Whitney Mercilus, Jordan Akins and Andre Johnson, now special advisor to head coach Bill O’Brien.
PC Seen: NBA free agent Joe Young, rapper Maxo Kream, Nett Lifestyles‘ Kevin Barnett, Lacee Jacobs, Mireyah Watts, Dice Soho, Kionna Kellogg, Rian Williams, Lauren McDonald, DJ Xo, Blaire Roberts, Mariel Verde and Extreme Offroad & Performance co-owners Austin O’Krinsky and Michael O’Krinsky.
