Sick Kids Get Decked Out Rooms Thanks to Big Hearts and Talented Hands of These Designing Women

PC Moment: Interior designer and luncheon chair Laura Umansky of Laura U Interiors, celebrating 10 years in the design business, got into theme of things by donating $3,000 to be used for the decoration of 10 hospital rooms for seriously ill children. The bonus — members of her design staff will donate their time to create personalized environments for the kiddos.
Since Harvey hit, Dec My Room has created 26 warm and friendly environments in Houston hospital rooms housing long-term pediatric patients. Since its founding by Susan Plank and her daughter, Kendall Plank, Dec My Room has created “healing places” in thousands of hospital rooms in Houston and in six other states.
The lunching ladies poured in early to shop the Sydney Evan jewelry designs presented by Neiman Marcus. They then settled in for one of Robert del Grande‘s signature midday repasts and informal modeling of Neiman’s trend setting fashions.
