More than 500 of the finest retailers and restaurants in Houston and the surrounding area (Sugar Land, Katy, the Bay Area and the Woodlands) are on board for this year’s Shop With Heart Card. Purchase yours for a minimum donation of $50, and you’ll enjoy a 20 percent discount at participating retailers and a free appetizer or dessert with the purchase of an entree at participating restaurants from April 22 through May 1, 2016. One hundred percent of the proceeds from card sales benefits the American Heart Association.

The 10-day shopping event is overseen by Heart Guild of Houston president Jessica Willey and Shop With Heart Card chair Julie Haralson, retail relations chairs Jean Chapman and Tracie Pierce, and restaurant relations chairs Ilene Allen and Nita Carrabba Chesney.
