PC Moment: More than 200 patrons and clients of Dress for Success Houston partied in the glam tent erected in the center’s parking lot to share in the evening of schmoozing, noshing, bidding on auction items and swaying to the tunes of the Kristine Mills Band. It was also an evening in which four client ambassadors shared their success stories as emcee Mia Gradney, KHOU Channel 11 news anchor and long-time DFSH supporter, led them on their verbal journeys.
“I can illustrate how continuing to push through challenges with the support of Dress for Success Houston helped me become independent,” Dress for Success client Priti Mehta told the gathering. “I am able to stand on my own, take care of my family, and continue to grow.”
Allie and Eric Danziger and Doctors Crystal and Randy Wright chaired the cocktail event that raised $580,000 for DFSH’s mission of empowering Houston area women through a variety of programs. The raffle of a 14k white gold diamond tennis bracelet, donated by Diamonds Direct, brought in more than $16,000. Applause, applause for auction chairs Susie Cunningham, Kate Dearing Fowler and Monica Richards.
Guests grazed through a smorgasbord of party fare from the likes of Relish, Monkey’s Tail, Coppa Osteria, A Fare Extraordinaire, Pondicheri and SweetCup with beverages from Gulf Coast Distillers and Total Wine & More.
