A Hot Bash With Run for a Reason

The Dress for Success team, having just completed the We Are Houston 5K run, could probably have used a cup of hot chocolate rather than a glass of champagne to celebrate their success. After all, on this day of the Chevron Houston Marathon, Mother Nature dealt a cold and windy blow to the Run for a Reason lopers.
But as the indoor/outdoor gathering at Pico‘s was titled “Bubbles, Bibs and Brunch Bash,” Korbel bubbly flowed as did Deep Eddy Vodka and El Jimador Tequila. If the cocktails didn’t warm the shivers, Katz Coffee did. Hot sounds from DJ London did their share for the warm up as well.
The second annual event, presented by Christian Brothers Automotive, drew 160 DFSH supporters and foodie fans, many of whom were still wearing their racing bibs, including 30 Dress for Success Houston clients. Fueling their post-race appetites were a variety of brunch bites from the likes of Picos, of course, plus River Oaks Donuts, Hungry’s, Hay Merchant and Helen Greek Food & Wine.
PC Seen: Pico’s Monica Richards and husband Jason Osberg, Christian Brothers Automotive’s Foundation president Johnathan Carr, DFSH board member Ben Patton and daughter Violet, WOW president Allie Danziger, Wendy Daboval and daughter Dorothy Daboval, Julie Fehl, Tracy Simmons, Poitin’s head pastry chef Hani Lae, Helen Greek Food & Wine’s executive chef William Wright, along with DFSH co-founder Nancy Levicki, and DFSH president, Lauren Levicki Courville.
