The Fashion Cop
Legendary Tootsies Owner Gets a Police Dog Named After Him
By Shelby Hodge //
What: K9s4Cops introduces K9 Mickey
Where: Tootsies
PC Moment: The German short-haired pointer, trained to locate electronic storage devices including cellphones, was named after Tootsies owner Mickey Rosmarin, who passed away unexpectedly last summer. It was the brainchild of K9s4Cops founder Kristi Schiller, done in memory of her late close friend. What better place to introduce the pup with his officer partner, Deputy Jeremy Sanchez, than at Tootsies, surrounded by fans of Rosmarin and the non-profit. Since its founding in 2011, K9s4Cops has granted close to 130 trained dogs across 24 states and in Paris, France.
Who: K94Cops executive director Roseann Rogers, Susie Rosmarin, Laurie and Tracy Krohn, Erin and Preston Hall, Jennifer and Bryan Caswell, Sgt. Chris Moore, Dr. Aashish Shah, Sara Kinney, Holly Thompson, John Schiller, Parisa Moayedi, David DeLeon, Kyla Phung, and Meagan Thomason.
