Signings with Souza //* First Look, First Sight, First Night // Marching TWO x TWO

The chicest crowd could be found at the Valentino store in NorthPark Center on October 22 for the chance to get up close and personal with Valentino brand ambassador, Carlos Souza as he launched #Carlos’s Places, a colorful tome highlighting photographs from his extensive travels. Also taking place that evening was ReuNight held at the Place at Perry’s. The annual fund-raiser for The Family Place proved to be quite the festive fête as chairs Mary Clare Finney and Kayla and Brian Roughton had everyone in fine spirits and tearing up the dance floor thanks to DJ Lucy Wrubel. The following morning, a benevolent bunch made their way to the Winspear Opera House for the First Sight luncheon and fashion show produced by chair Rhonda Sargent Chambers. Luncheon chair Elizabeth Kimple welcomed the crowd before they were treated to an exclusive runway show compliments of Roberto Cavalli. First Sight is the kickoff event for the First Night dinner — which was held the following evening and chaired by Nancy D. Nasher and David J. Haemisegger, alongside chairs Lynn McBee and Nicholas Even. Kicking off an evening of firsts was First Look, at the home of Cindy and Howard Rachofsky. Chair Nasiba Hartland Mackie invited guests to a Rat Pack-themed party replete with a bartending Elvis, Cher impersonator and costumes galore. Celebrations continued into the weekend with the TWO x TWO Gala, taking place on October 25. Chairs Lisa and John Runyon welcomed art lovers to the geodesic domed tent, which set the scene for an evening filled with cocktails, conversation and a private performance by CeeLo Green.
