What: 5th Annual Steele Red Carpet Party.
Where: The River Oaks home of Astrid and Gene Van Dyke.
Who: Hosts the Van Dykes; from the TV and silver screens Major Dodson, Dalton Gray, Katy Harris, Joshua Diaz, Jim MacKrell, David Born, Brandon Buttrey; from the concert stage Jon Hogan and Maria Moss, and Genevieve Allen; and from the kitchen celebrated chefs Pedro Garcia, Nancy Manlove, and Laura Trigo.
PC Moment: Dozens of celebrities from Hollywood, Nashville and other show-biz centric cities were in attendance at the star-studded fête, this year benefitting the Military Warriors Support Foundation. An alfresco pavilion surrounded by lush gardens and a waterway, was the perfect setting for a glam spring twilight. Adding to the aesthetics was floral table décor by Village Greenery & Flowers, paired with a Spanish-themed, full-course gourmet meal prepared by top toques representing El Meson, The Food Network and Hotel Icon. Fitting the patriotic cause, American Idol’s Zach Person thrilled vets and supporters with an electric guitar rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
