Tony Bravo and Richard Werner opened up their stunning River Oaks home to supporters of Homemade Hope, an organization that nurtures and empowers homeless children living in Houston area shelters. Guests sipped bubbles and shopped for Kendra Scott baubles in anticipation of Homemade Hope’s Home Is Where the Heart Is Gala, which takes place at the Ballroom at Bayou Place on Friday, September 27.
Homemade Hope Founder Blair Bentley shared with the glamorous crowd how the organization teaches homeless children to cook nutritious foods, while developing their life skills. Bentley started the organization in 2014, offering programming such as weekly cooking sessions, tutoring, field trips and holiday celebrations.
Liz Coleman and Adam Greer chair the Home Is Where the Heart Is Gala, which honors Marcia and Brig Smart this year. Marcia Smart is the widely followed culinary influencer and cooking instructor behind the uber-popular food blog Smart in the Kitchen.
Guests at the kickoff party received the first glimpse of all the gala details, which include a cocktail hour, silent auction, seated dinner and inspiring program. Need even more? How about this: New York music mixer DJ Kalkutta is jetting in for the gala and after party.
Now, that’s setting the stage for a night to remember.
Notable guests who attended this preview party include Marcia and Brig Smart, Regina Rogers, Maria and Graham Lowrey, Kristy Bradshaw, Adam Greer, Liz Coleman, Tennie and David Ott, Tiffany LaRose, Margot Delaronde, Lila Sharifian and Tony Bravo and Richard Werner.
