What: Houston Arts Alliance Gala art preview party
Where: The home of Tatiana and Craig Massey, HAA board chairman
PC Moment: We have no doubt that by the time the big night for Houston Arts Alliance’s “Moulin Rouge, Immerse” arrives a number of those supporters will be in full costume. Could there be a Toulouse Lautrec in the mix? We have an idea or two for that costuming and we expect to see more than a few femmes in cancan frocks. Ah, the Duke of Monroth and the Green Fairy and who dares reprise Nicole Kidman’s role as Satine?
Highlight of the evening was a preview of the art works that will be centerpiece of the gala with the focus on remarkable emerging visual artists. The works, for sale at the gala, were on display in the Massey’s backyard. Funds raised from the gala aid artists and nonprofits through arts education and through a citywide equity effort known as Arts Connect, and the Disaster Resilience programming.
Gala chairs Melissa and Michael Mithoff joined host Craig Massey in addressing the gathering. Also co-chairing the event are Drs. Duyen and Marc Nguyen, but they were unable to attend the preview.
Artists contributing to the show made the chic scene including. Disha Khakheria, Erika Alonso, Laura Drey, Mark Francis and Morad Jasim. Their work will be on display at the gala on Wednesday at the Majestic Metro theatre in downtown Houston.

PC Seen: Houston Arts Alliance vice chair Michele Leah Farah, artist Selven O’Keef Jarmon, Tammy Dowe, Michel Leal Farah, Necole Irvin, Ashley Smither Langley and Curt Langley, Louise Upshaw-McClenny, Penelope and Lester Marks, Deborah Colton, and Sharon and Gus Kopriva.
