What: Houston Methodist “Peak Performances”
Where: Aspen, Colorado
PC Moment: The final shot off the bow of Houston friend/fundraising in the oh-so-chic mountain retreat was launched by a trio of summer ex-pats who seek respite from the summer heat in the Rockies. Cam and Rod Canion, Nancy and Jack Dinerstein and Lesha and Tom Elsenbrook hosted the gathering that served to benefit the Translational Research Initiative at Houston Methodist.
Bringing home the message were physicians Dr. Thomas MacGillivray, chief of cardiac surgery and thoracic transplant, and internist Dr. Ron Gentry and Houston Methodist president and CEO Dr. Marc Boom.
The 100-plus participants divided their energies between joining the Grand Rounds Golf Open or swooning over the mansions on view in the Home Tour at New Heights. The groups came together at the Aspen Golf Club for a picnic lunch during which Boom had the floor.
Who: Sylvie and Gary Crum, Elise and John Oren, Clayton and Shel Erikson, Ashley and Steve Birdwell, Eliza and Johnny Duncan, Leslie and Jack Blanton, Marcy Margolis, and Leslie and Carlos Duncan.
