Houston’s Most Glamorous Tea Party
Stylish Show Takes Over Neiman Marcus, Sets Stage for River Oaks Moment to Come
By Shelby Hodge //
What: Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary kickoff tea party
Where: Neiman Marcus
PC Moment: While the ladies have been collecting topnotch, gently-worn clothing and accessories for months for the spring event, the 14th annual “Reflections on Style” luncheon, fashion show and chic boutique enjoyed a glamorous kickoff courtesy of Neiman Marcus. Lilly Andress and Amanda Gelb chaired the gathering that honored Betty Hrncir, contributing Life Member of the auxiliary and president of the Barbara Bush Ladies for Literacy Guild.
The event served as a reminder of the four-day (April 18-21) “Reflections” on Style fundraiser that launches on April 17 with the sellout luncheon, show and sale at River Oaks Country Club. Chairing that event are Leigh Newton Alvarez and Dev Stern.
Neiman Marcus was the ideal venue as the ladies could shop the designers, then make room in their closets by donating older pieces to the sale.
Who: Jana Arnoldy, Susan Hansen, Rhonda Jones, Stick Delaupe, Linda McReynolds, Pat Breen, Ginger Blanon, Nancy Willerson, Pam Sengelmann, Jane Wise, Gayle Eury, Major Melody Davis and Judy Holmes.
