PC Moment: Texas Medical Center Institutions joined in celebration of the John P. McGovern Museum of Health and Medical Science, as it is officially known. It is the only health museum of its kind in the country and Houston’s only Smithsonian affiliate museum.
As is tradition, Heart of Gold Award recipients were applauded for their contributions and accomplishments. Award honorees included medical legends and longtime supporters of The Health Museum: Jane and Dr. David Braden, June and Dr. Kenneth Mattox and the M.D. Anderson Foundation.
Heading the successful evening were chairs Katherine Strake Parsley and Brian Parsley and Kerri and J. Bridgwater. The led the evening to $425,000 in proceeds, a tidy sum appreciated by all and in particular Health Museum president and CEO John Arcidiacono.
