Houston’s Wildest Super Bowl Pictures

Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and Lynn Wyatt Like You’ve Never Seen Them Before

By //

It was a wild and crazy few days, a gridiron Mardi Gras that gave the city a rocking patina and a second chance at proving that it’s Houston — not Houston, Texas. Like New York, LA, and Chicago. Houston doesn’t need Lone Star backup to prove its worth on the national stage. Just as New England earned that Lombardi trophy, so Houston garnered a lot more respect during Super Bowl week.

And, oh, the parties. Between the brunches, lunches, afternoon bashes, early evening fetes, private dinner parties, ceremonies and late-night bacchanalias, H-Town rocked like never before, easily eclipsing our two previous Super Bowls. (We can’t imagine what a let down Super Bowl LII will be — in freezing, sleepy Minneapolis.)

So we take a moment to relive some of our favorite moments from the long weekend that surrounded Super Bowl LI. Enjoy!
