What: Harvard Crimson Award Gala.

Where: The Junior League of Houston.

Who: Chairs Dylan Seff and Julia Bailey; honoree Laura E. Arnold (Class of 1994); keynote speaker Jim Ryan, the Dean of the Harvard Graduate School of Education, dutifully in from Cambridge; emcee Dominique Sachse; Jordan Seff, Arlene Machetta, Lucinda and Javier Loya, Mike Loya, Louisa and Lou Savarese, Monsour Taghdisi and Henry Richardson, and Jessica and Michael Bertuccio.

PC Moment: More than 250 erudite guests donned black-tie regalia and bid competitively in a live auction on hunting safaris and Costa Rican vacations to benefit the Harvard Club of Houston’s H2H (meaning Houston to Harvard) Initiative. The unique H2H program sends HISD teachers and administrators to the Harvard Graduate School of Education for summer courses about progressive classroom techniques to implement in Houston classrooms.

Home, chic home.
