Why should kids have all of the back-to-school fun? Triniti’s Ryan Hildebrand gives the adolescent rite a mature twist with a back-to-school happy hour inspired by classic ’80s films from director John Hughes.
The fête promises fare including the greasy pork sandwich plated on a dirty ash tray (vegetable ash included), which is inspired by Hughes’ Weird Science, and Pretty in Pink Prom Punch, created for everyone’s favorite teen drama, Pretty in Pink.
Paying homage to The Breakfast Club is a breakfast-themed club sandwich, Crazy Ally Sheedy’s Monte Cristo prepared with Cap’N Crunch cereal and peanut butter, plus a duo of cocktails coined The Shitty Lamp and The Flare Gun in a Locker.
For fans of playing hooky, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is honored with The Abe Froman (a tribute to the Sausage King of Chicago) and The Cameron’s Freakout cocktail. Samantha’s Birthday Cake and the Long Duck Dong cocktail channel Sixteen Candles.
