BY // 03.23.18

What: Paris Texas Apparel Co. grand opening

Where: 1341 S. Voss Road at Woodway (near the popular Carrabba’s)

PC Moment: The unique retail brand’s co-founders and brothers Paul Hotze and Patrick Hotze, along with their wives, Chloe and Lara respectively, celebrated the store’s spanking new location in Tanglewood on Thursday with an opening party. The new digs, expanded to 2,700 square feet from the original location on Wirt Road, includes a glass-encased diorama of the Alamo, playing off of the store’s Texas roots.

The native Houstonians launched their brand in 2012, designing a line of Texas-centric products, including silk ties and bowties; graphic tees for kids and adults; and signature typographic prints. But it wasn’t until 2016 that they opened the Spring Branch storefront. In the meantime, the entrepreneurial duo had founded the popular San Cristobal ready-to-wear guayaberas.

In the spirit of the Lone Star State, Texas craft beers were part of the provisions supplied for the partygoers along with peach margaritas, beef tenderloin sandwiches, mini grits and greens on a spoon and crab cakes with Creole sauce.
