What: The Parish School’s 35th anniversary gala
Where: JW Marriott Houston
PC Moment: Testimonials by gala chairs Kevin Cokinos and Chris Kolkhorst, both parents of Parish School students, shed light on the miraculous work the school achieves for students with learning disabilities. Both praised the school for making a remarkable difference in the lives of their children. The fellows shared chair duties with their wives, Adonia and Ann Marie, respectively.
Popular radio personality Roula Christie of 104 KRBE’s “Roula and Ryan Show” handled emcee duties for the 35th anniversary celebration. In celebration of the milestone, a video featured founder Robbin Parish and long-time faculty members. Parish School students Carl Janssen, 9, and Jonathan Wallace, 10, wowed guests with their rendition of R. Kelly’s “I Believe I Can Fly,” which earned them a standing ovation.
The event raised more than $600,000
