Holiday Schmooze // Past Era, Found & Antiques of River Oaks Holiday Fête // Breakfast with Santa
By Hannah Swiggard //
Past Era Antique Jewelry, Found and Antiques of River Oaks, the posh neighbors in the Mile on West Alabama, hosted stylish clientele at their annual holiday party wherein each boutique opens their doors for a festive evening of cocktails and shopping .
Two hundred guests raised $200,000 at this year’s Holiday Schmooze, benefitting Legacy Community Health Services’ HIV and AIDS programs. Convivial hosts Kathryn and Jeff Smith welcomed supporters into their refined River Oaks abode for cocktails and sophisticated bites from Jackson Hicks. Legacy’s Katy Caldwell thanked donors for contributing over $1 million dollars since Schmooze’s start in 1996.
The University of Texas MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital teamed up with The Galleria at the Little Galleria space for a joyful Christmas party on a Saturday morning. Carolers serenaded families with holiday favorites as children colored Christmas ornaments and posed for pictures with Santa. In true holiday spirit, all proceeds from the breakfast benefitted the hospital.
