Girls Night Out in River Oaks Turns Everyday Women Into Models: Dressing for Success Opens Doors

What: Dress for Success‘ “A Night Out”

PC Moment: There was shopping, inspirational words, two fashion shows and the chance to win a to-die-for platinum and diamond bracelet donated by Wayne Smith Jewels, all of this for the entertainment of more than 270 members of the Dress for Success Houston Corporate Guild.
The first fashion show featured DFSH clients who walked the runway while emcee Rachel McNeill, KPRC news anchor and DFSH advisory council member, shared their inspiring success stories. The second featured designs from Elizabeth Anthony as showcased by owner Julie Roberts and modeled by guild members Rachel Steely, Natalie Pappas, Liz Schaffner, Christina Mullin, Ronda Husselman, Jennifer Briscoe and Tracey Kearney.
Corporate guild president Staci Voll and DFSH president and co-founder Nancy Levicki talked about the non-profit’s mission as well as the resources DFSH provided to women affected by Hurricane Harvey. The event raised more than $136,000 for DFSH programs that include providing a network of support, professional attire and development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
Specialty shopping was offered in boutiques set up by Elizabeth Anthony, Jewelry.By.MMM, Little Bear Paper Company, Stella & Dot, and Vinglace.
