River Oaks Shopping Party Brings Out Houston’s Hottest Blogger and Fashionistas Galore
By Shelby Hodge //
What: PaperCity/Theory fall fashion celebration
Where: Theory in River Oaks District
PC Moment: The weather pleasantly cooperated when a chic coterie of guys and dolls, in fall shopping mode, poured into the lively boutique for cocktails, light bites from neighboring Toulouse, and high-level schmoozing. As for the shopping, who could resist the collection of rich autumn colors that filled the racks. Burgundies, navies and browns spoke to the season.
Co-hosting the gathering were Houston’s hottest blogger Caroline Harper Knapp and man-about-town Michael Mandola. Also welcoming guests was Theory district manager Lauren Berg in from Los Angeles and store manager James Kelso.
As with most events that had been planned for the launch of the fall season, the original party was pushed back due to the stormy waters of Hurricane Harvey, even though River Oaks District suffered no damage from the floods. The delay only made the evening all the more fun as there was loads of post-Harvey catching up to do.
