What: The American Society of Interior Designers Texas Gulf Coast Chapter (ASID TXGC) 2019 River Oaks Show House VIP Preview Party

Where: 2104 Chilton

PC Moment: What better way to escape the summertime heat than a tour of an impeccably designed luxury home situated in storied River Oaks? Homebuilder Rallin Welch of Welch Builders & Brokers worked with 21 top-tier interior designers on a beautiful show home that showed off their skills and talents.

On the big day, 300 curious ASID members, featured Welch himself and the team of Welch Builders & Brokers, underwriters, chapter sponsors, and vendors arrived at the sprawling, nearly 7,000-square-foot home built by Welch Builders & Brokers and designed by Ryan Gordon of Gordon Partners. The first stop for interior design devotees was a living room adorned with a $100,000 Steinway Spirio Baby Grand Player Piano.

Exploring the three-story house, guests admired the five spacious bedrooms, each with full baths. While taking in the glamour of the home, the crowd enjoyed light bites and cocktails by Ginn’s Gourmet Catering.

A flowery, outdoorsy vibe permeates each room: from fresh sunflowers atop a stylish marble table, to the lively art on the walls. Splashes of gold decor add a subtle pizzazz. Hints of turquoise speckle the walls, bringing a sense of nature indoors.

Contemporary light fixtures from Circa Lighting brighten up the rooms alongside window coverings by The Shade Store. Interior designer Linda Eyles put together a jewel-themed dining room to create a glamorous, elegant look.

Missy Stewart Designs crafted the open kitchen bringing a modern feel to the home. CDB Interiors designed a personalized study with Kate Spade decor dubbed the “ladies’ retreat.” First-class amenities also include a wine cellar, game room, fitness area and media room.

The timeless style continues as you step outside on the porch. A grey slate roof extends to a slurried brick surrounded by simple black shutters. The subtle limestone entry makes an excellent contrast that proceeds to the copper gutters.

The open house served as the kickoff for ASID TXGC. The designer home is currently on the market with a $3.9 million asking price.
