PC Moment: The Small Steps Nurturing Center team took a different approach to the non-profit’s traditional wine dinner with a brief program at the start of the night that left the 500 guests free to mingle and mix throughout dinner and after. The result was a high-energy schmooze which went on until 11 p.m., on a school night, the latest this crowd has ever gone. Applause, applause for chairs Katy and John Nelson and Sarah and Gregg Snyder who led the charge to proceeds of more than $605,000.
River Oaks Country Club’s Christian Varas served as sommelier, making a short presentation at the start of dinner. Lisa Malosky handled the program as emcee while Michael Fertitta conducted the ask.
