Who: Art Market’s Jeffrey Wainhause and Kelly Freeman, in from New York; Matter Creative’s Matthew Johns and Alecia Harris, enlisted as party planners; artist Selven O’Keef Jarmon, who designed the evening’s tote bags; gallerists Barbara Davis, Betty Moody, David Shelton, Sonja Roesch, Arturo Palacios, Patrick Reynolds, Alex Cesaria, and Casey Stranahan; Christie’s Jessica Phifer; collectors Jereann Chaney with Norman Ewart, Judy Nyquist, and Victoria and Marshal Lightman; designer Margaret Naeve; and CAMH director Bill Arning.
PC Moment: Artful admirers of the Texas Contemporary’s host committee wandered through the three levels of Casa Lantz + Farkas taking in the locally sourced art and building materials (the host served as architect and contractor on her own home). The Armandos truck out front served up ‘ritas and tacos as the visual contingent geared up for year five of the Texas Contemporary (Save the date: October 1 – 4 at the George R. Brown Convention Center).
