What: The Woman’s Hospital of Texas Labor Day Luncheon & Style Show
Where: The Royal Sonesta Hotel
Who: Co-chairs The Woman’s Hospital CEO Ashley McClellan and president of the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce Suzan Deison; emcee Ilona Carson; guests Priscilla Hartranft, Katy Newson, Kylie Illeski, Joanie Hare, Connie Faro, Gina Gaston Elie, Ursaline Hamilton, Nina Pilson, and Mitra Woody
PC Moment: Nearly 500 gathered for a chic afternoon in support of March of Dimes, and their advocacy for the health of pre-mature babies. Image consultant Rebecca Matthews and producer Todd Ramos put together a runway show that featured a peek at fall fashion trends, and luncheon guests were able to indulge in some mid-day pop-up shopping with 25 of Houston’s fave retailers (including Trés Chic, French Cuff Boutique, BB1 Classic, and Shopaholic Sanctuary).
This year’s featured speaker was Danielle Busby, mother of all-girl quintuplets and star of TLC series Outdaughtered. Fun takeaways included three luxury gifts donated by Elaine Turner and Kendra Scott, plus dozens of door prizes from local spas and boutiques. Ten percent of proceeds from the pop-up shops were donated to the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
