KidneyTexas, Inc. celebrated its 23rd anniversary this fall, bringing friends and family together to raise money for designated beneficiaries and awareness for preventing kidney disease. The event featured a luncheon, a formal floor-level fashion show, and a surprise live performance by the former lead singer of Kool and The Gang, Sir Earl Toon. He sang his well-known hits “Ladies Night” and “Celebration,” which got everyone boogying on the dance floor.
The event was chaired by Regina Bruce and Dr. Carla Russo, with honorary chairs Jeanne and George Lewis. Guests gathered at The Meyerson Symphony Center for a fun day featuring a live auction, a silent auction with one-of-a-kind items, awards, and more surprises. The morning began with bubbles at a champagne reception. Next, guests bid in the silent auction and took Instagram-worthy photos in front of KidneyTexas, Inc.’s logo of a multi-colored butterfly with wings connected by a green ribbon.
The fashion show, On Wings of Hope and Transformation, featured longtime partner TOOTSIES alongside new partners. These newcomers include Betty Reiter, Nardos Design, Don Morphy, and jewelry by J. Pacetti Precious Jewels, produced by Jan Strimple Productions.
