Powerful Symposium is Headed to Dallas

Transforming Lives Through the Arts, better known as TACA, brings its ninth annual symposium to Dallas on Monday, October 23. The TACA Perforum is a chance to engage in meaningful conversation. The eighth annual symposium centers on issues in the world of arts and culture. Experts from across the country join together to lecture the North Texas community. This years theme is “Cross Sector Collaboration: Intersections between Arts Organizations and the Broader Arts Ecology.”
The panelists include D. David Brown, the general manager of Culture Access Washington; P. Carl, the director and co-founder of Boston’s HowlRound; Karen Brooks Hopkins, the president emerita of the Brooklyn College of Music; and Carlton Turner, the executive director of Atlanta’s Alternative ROOTS.
The schedule follows:
8:45 to 9:30 a.m. check-in/networking
9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Panel discussion
11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Round table luncheon and discussions
