Unique Restaurant Brings Madrid to Houston
A Night of Wine, Tapas and Ice Cream
By Matthew Ramirez //
Themed “Notes from Madrid,” January’s installment of the Costa Brava Bistro wine event collects Spanish inspirations with some new twists while exclaiming “the Madrid food adventure continues.” Look for tapas (thyme-marinated olives, brie and eggplant croquetas) paired with a Gonzalez Byass Dry Amontillado, squid with calamari and mussels paired with a 2014 Bodegas Avancia Godello, Valdeorras, and an entrée of lamb chops over patatas with basil-garlic butter and manchego paired with a Alto Moncayo 2013. All this topped off with saffron ice cream. Salud!
