Victory Park is about to get a lot more entertaining thanks to Cinépolis USA. The now Dallas-based company is opening its first ever luxury theater in the burgeoning urban neighborhood on Friday, July 27.
The 44,000-square-foot venue will offer eight screens, 750 reclining leather seats, cutting-edge sound and projection technology, gourmet concessions and more.
It will be the company’s first luxury theater, as well as its first theater in Dallas. (Cinépolis was founded in Mexico in 1971.)
“Dallas is our home, so it is particularly exciting to launch our luxury cinemas in Victory Park, a coveted destination that is quickly becoming the premier entertainment district in the city,” Luis Olloqui, chief executive officer of Cinépolis USA, says in a statement.
The new movie theater is part of a major redevelopment ongoing in Victory Park, led by Trademark Property Co. and owner UST XVI Victory Park. The neighborhood is going through a full remerchandising, with the addition of 85,000-square-feet of retail space among other changes to help the district become a more walkable, energetic, and interesting place.
Located on the corner of Victory Park Lane and High Market Street, Cinépolis will be an anchor of the new Victory Park, screening movies seven days a week with ticket prices ranging from $10 to $18.
The upscale theater will feature a lounge-style lobby, fancy concessions, and in-theater dining at the push of a button. Cinépolis is debuting a new food menu at Victory Park, which will roll out nationally this August. Movie-goers can also enjoy libations from the theater’s full bar, which includes craft beer, specialty cocktails, and Cinépolis USA Private Label wine.
Cinépolis’ Dallas debut and the introduction of its luxury theater collection is part of the company’s aggressive growth plan. Victory Park will be the brand’s second theater in Texas, following the opening of a Cinépolis premium theater in Euless last August.
The company currently has 18 theaters in the United States, and plans to open three more before the year’s end.
