Local favorite Liberty Kitchen (F.E.E.D TX Restaurant Group) is bringing coastal flair to the good ole city of Austin. Stationed at 507 Pressler, Suite 700 (entrance on 5th Street), the new outpost — located in the thriving Clarksville neighborhood — will be the first venture outside Houston for partners Lee Elis and Carl Eaves. The 3,800-square-foot restaurant opens Wednesday, May 6, with 140 seats, a full bar, private dining/multimedia room and a patio. The space fuses Liberty Kitchen’s notorious style with Lone Star charm via authentic Texas images and printed yardsticks proclaiming “The Stars at Night are Big and Bright.” Liberty Kitchen’s signature menu items (rotisserie meats, seafood and fresh oysters) will be joined by new menu items created specifically for the Austin scene. Newcomers include the Georges Bank Haddie chowder, Point Judith squid and sausage stuffing, vegetable tagine and deviled egg trial — a combination of smoked salmon, fried oyster and bacon.
