Local Bars Serve Cocktails for a Cause During Negroni Week 2015
By Jailyn Marcel //
Sip cocktails for a cause now through Sunday, June 7, during Negroni Week 2015. The seven-day celebration sponsored by Imbibe and Campari helps raise money for a variety of charities through sales of the Negroni, a classic cocktail made with equal parts gin, Campari and sweet vermouth. One dollar from every Negroni sold is donated to an organization of the participating bar’s choice — and with 3,530 bars partaking from around the world, this year’s contribution is sure to be a hefty sum. Houstonians can get their Negroni fix at 54 local hot spots, including such favorites as Julep, Beaver’s, Radio Milano and Sanctuari Bar at Triniti ; Dallasites can head to one of 24 participating locales, including Proof & Pantry, Henry’s Majestic and Oakcliff Social Club. See a full list of participating bars here.
