Wouldn’t it be nice to have a hair and makeup stylist on speed dial? There’s an app for that! The on-demand beauty app beGlammed, founded last summer, sends professional hairstylists and makeup artists straight to the client’s location anytime, anywhere (services starting at $30). When we heard the good news, we couldn’t get beGlammed to our offices quick enough. Here’s a chat with Maile Pacheco, beGlammed founder and creative director, along with a few #behindthescenes shots of myself getting primped for a PaperCity event that night.

HOW THE APP CAME ABOUT.
I was at dinner with a friend, and she expressed how much she loved getting her hair and makeup done professionally, and she wished it was much easier to find good stylists and artists — and light bulb went off! I am an avid Uber user, and I absolutely loved the concept and convenience of their cashless service and thought, ‘What if there was an app that delivered amazing hairstylists and makeup artists?’

Consistent service, seamless booking system, and who doesn’t want a professional to come to them and save them time!!

FAVE BEAUTY/HAIR TIP.
• Use a fluffy brush when applying foundation for an airbrushed finish.
• Use a flatiron to create a soft beachy wave rather than a curling iron.
