Sitting Pretty with beGlammed

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a hair and makeup stylist on speed dial? There’s an app for that! The on-demand beauty app beGlammed, founded last summer, sends professional hairstylists and makeup artists straight to the client’s location anytime, anywhere (services starting at $30). When we heard the good news, we couldn’t get beGlammed to our offices quick enough. Here’s a chat with Maile Pacheco, beGlammed founder and creative director, along with a few #behindthescenes shots of myself getting primped for a PaperCity event that night.

HOW THE APP CAME ABOUT.
I was at dinner with a friend, and she expressed how much she loved getting her hair and makeup done professionally, and she wished it was much easier to find good stylists and artists — and light bulb went off! I am an avid Uber user, and I absolutely loved the concept and convenience of their cashless service and thought, ‘What if there was an app that delivered amazing hairstylists and makeup artists?’
