This June, Forty Five Ten on Main will be bustling with beauty happenings.
On Saturday, June 3, take notes during a master class on Parisian perfume label By Kilian’s fragrances. Top note: The line was founded by Kilian Hennessy, the grandson of the founder of the multinational luxury-goods conglomerate LVMH. Talk about scents with rich heritage.
The same day, dapper gents can get cut and coiffed with luxe shampoos and grooming essentials from New York-based men’s salon Martial Vivot. The NYC Salon Pour Hommes on 54th Street was founded by French men’s hairstylist Martial Vivot, who is known for good reason as the gentleman’s barber.
Friday, June 9, brings a personal appearance from an NIOD Skincare expert, offering mini consultations on the chemistry of its dermal products.
The next day, join Heretic founder Douglas Little for a custom-blending fragrance event (the names alone … Pistil Whip, Blood Cedar, Holi Water, India Ink, Poltergeist). Little is well known as the founder of D.L. & Co. candles and scents. He turned the indie fragrance world on its head with his goth sensibility.
Now he’s delving into the natural fragrance world, which “has very little to do with the health benefits of natural fragrance,” he says, “but everything to do with the depth and complexity.” During his Dallas visit, Little launches his new Dirty Ginger fragrance with Forty Five Ten, its first retailer.
The month culminates Saturday, June 17, when Dallas salon Hair by Charlie co-hosts a style fête that highlights hair-care products from Swedish brand Sachajuan, including a sea-algae blend that boosts hair’s natural beauty.
